Details on Tests Performed on the UH70120 T-Series by Review Sites

Straight out the box the Hoover WindTunnel UH70120 takes a little while to assemble. However, it is not an extremely difficult job and can be completed by one person.

One review website attempted to start the tests by picking up cereal. It did a good job overall, but it did push the pieces of cereal around at first before eventually picking them up on a hardwood floor. When flour was spread out on thinner, commercial style carpet, it struggled to clean up the mess. Kitty litter was also a slight issue as the particles were moved around before being picked up.

The vacuum cleaner was not very noisy during use. It doesn’t have a swiveling head, which makes it a little difficult to use around furniture, even though it is a lightweight machine. Other aspects of the machine are easy to use such as the rewindable cord, tool storage, canister detaching and cleaning out the canister.

There is a red light on the vacuum that lets you know when it is time to rinse out the vacuum’s main filter. Be sure to check for any clogs or worn-down belts during this time. The light is a good feature to have since most other vacuum models make you keep track of cleaning out the filter on your own.

Why You Should Purchase the Hoover WindTunnel UH70120

The Hoover WindTunnel UH70120 is a lightweight, upright vacuum that doesn’t need to use bags. The top features that owners love about this product include the fast cord rewind and the rinsable filter. This vacuum is loaded with features that make it easier to use.

Along with the 27-foot power cord that stores neatly inside the machine, the vacuum has a no-scuff bumper, easy to access fingertip controls, and height adjustments so that you can easily clean any level of carpet in your home.

Hoover UH70120

The Hoover UH70120 comes with several accessories that make your cleaning tasks less of a chore. These accessories include an air-powered hand tool that allows you to clean your upholstery and other fabric surfaces, a 12” extension wand for those hard to reach places, a crevice tool and a dusting brush. All accessories attach easily to the vacuum and may be stored on the machine iso that they are always within your reach.

This Hoover vacuum cleaner may be less expensive than other similar vacuums, but you still want to make sure that it will last, and you will get your money’s worth out of it. Products such as this vacuum are covered under Hoover’s warranty plan which provides ample protection against malfunctions or damage.

How Does it Compare to Other Similar Vacuum Cleaners?

The Hoover UH70120 WindTunnel vacuum is a strong and durable machine that includes several features that help make it a great buy. While it may not have all the exclusive extras that the high-tech vacuum cleaners have, it also doesn’t have the high price tag either.

This vacuum cleaner is one of the best that you can buy in its price range. It has the power to perform well throughout years of use and it has features that many other bargain-priced models may not have. You can count on the Hoover brand to supply you with a quality product that will provide you with quality results time after time.

What Do Owners Have to Say About This Vacuum Cleaner?

The vacuum cleaner is easy to push and maneuver, even though it is not self-propelling. It is very lightweight and that is one of the perks that many people seem to like about this particular Hoover model.

While it is possible to rinse out some vacuum cleaner filters, the HEPA filter on this Hoover vacuum is not washable. All dust and dirt are meant to be tapped out of the filter into the garbage. The manufacturer states that you shouldn’t rinse or wash any type of HEPA filter.

The vacuum is versatile, and it will work on various types of flooring. There is a 5-level switch that allows you to use the vacuum on high pile carpet and knotted carpet such as Berber with just the flip of a switch. However, it should be noted that the brushes run continuously, so you won’t want to use it on hardwood flooring since the bristles could scratch the surface.

Owners who have pets in the home were hesitant at first about purchasing a vacuum cleaner that is so affordable. But they found out that the Hoover UH70120 is more than capable of picking up cat hair off furniture and the carpet. You don’t have to pay extra for a special vacuum cleaner for pet owners just to pick up the same amount of hair as this vacuum can.

While the vacuum cleaner is designed to work with high pile carpet, and several reviewers have commented on how it works well with different piles, one reviewer, in particular, left a one-star review after their high-pile carpet melted while using this machine.

The fact that the adjustable roller doesn’t turn off is believed to be the reason behind the damage to their floor. This could have been a malfunction with the vacuum, however, it is something to keep in mind, especially if you plan to use the Hoover UH70120 on high-pile carpet.

About the Hoover Company

William H. Hoover was the founder of the Hoover Company, but he did not invent the brand’s first vacuum cleaner. That was invented by a janitor who spent his off time as an inventor named John Murray Spangler.

Spangler had asthma and wanted to come up with a way to decrease the amount of dust he breathed in while he was working. He came up with a model for what would later be known as the Suction Sweeper, the device worked by sweeping dust from the air into a container.

Spangler’s first cousin was married to William Hoover at the time of his invention, and Hoover decided to purchase Spangler’s patent for his device and made Spangler his partner. Together they created the Electric Suction Sweeper Company which was later renamed The Hoover Company in 1922.

Under Hoover’s supervision, there were many advancements made to the Suction Sweeper. He offered customers a free 10-day trial of the product and allowed dealers around the country to receive commission for their sales. This helped to create the first Hoover dealerships for the brand.

Over the years the brand continued to make changes and come up with new solutions for cleaning floors. They worked to make the vacuum cleaner more appealing for residential customers and were the first company to produce changeable bags for vacuums. They also invented steam cleaners and self-propelled vacuums.

Hoover also branched out into other areas beyond the United States such as Canada and England. In the United Kingdom Hoover vacuum cleaners became so popular that people there still refer to vacuuming as “hoovering”.

William Hoover died in 1932 however his company still continued to prosper long after his death. The company helped out with the war effort during WWII and switched from manufacturing vacuum cleaners to making bomb fuses and helmet liners. As a result, the company received many government awards for their help during the war. During the 1940’s the company became a privately traded stock and in 1985 Hoover was purchased by the Chicago Pacific Corporation, which was later acquired by Maytag.

Is the Hoover UH70120 T-Series WindTunnel Rewind Plus the Right Vacuum for You?

Now that you have learned more about the features, pros and cons associated with the Hoover UH70120, is it the right vacuum cleaner for your household? It is great at picking up dirt and debris from standard carpet and features 5 cleaning levels so that you can adjust the machine according to your carpet height. However, many users have reported that it is not the best option for hardwood floors or high-pile carpet, although it is marketed to clean both.

The UH70120 is a good vacuum for the price and it is manufactured by a brand that many families have trusted throughout the years. It works well with cleaning pet hair and it has several attachments that can help make your cleaning tasks much easier.
